Welcome to my fundraising page.

On 30 September 2009 I will be swimming 100 lengths in aid of The National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society at Talacre Beach Caravan & Leisure Parks in North Wales. This is a huge personal challenge for me, attempting to achieve this distance, whilst living with Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is a chronic, progressive and disabling auto-immune disease affecting almost half a million people in the UK.  It is an incredibly painful condition which can cause severe disability.  The disease can progress very rapidly, causing swelling and damaging cartilage and bone around the joints.  It can affect the whole body and internal organs such as the lungs, heart and eyes.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
