My story

After the success of 2007 and making the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro we thought we would set ourselves another challenge. This year we are going to attempt our second continental summit, Mount Elbrus in the Russian Caucasus. It is the highest mountain in Europe standing at  5642m (18510 feet in old money). We will be doing the Northern Traverse. Ice axe and crampons at the ready!

Nick Begg and Nigel Stephenson climbed Kilimanjaro together and will be joined on this climb by Martyn Futter. The climb on Elbrus will be lead by Harry Kikstra, an Everest veteran. We leave for Moscow on the 20th June.

Last year we raised about £2500 in total for Asthma UK. We know alot of you are being asked to donate again this year. However, Asthma does not go away and there have been fatalities of this condition reported in the press lately. Everyone knows someone with Asthma. Please help us to help Asthma UK make a difference.

Thank you for visiting the fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Asthma UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
