Four months of hip problems, blisters, sore knees, bruised arches, two black toenails and shin splints have flown by and it's now race week! The week where I get to put my feet up and eat tonnes of carbs guilt free (I knew there was a reason for running it!).
The miles are in the bank, with the longest run so far being 20 miles, taking 4 hours! I'm now waiting nervously for Sunday where I aim to complete 26.2 miles. I would like to say I'm feeling confident and full of energy, but in truth I'm scared at how much it's going to hurt!
Please dig deep for Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital and make the pain worthwhile! I'm hoping to raise £1000 to help those with kidney disease and to support further research in this area.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Guy's & St. Thomas' Hospital Kidney Patients' Association gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
El xx
