I have signed up for the Great Swim because it gives me a chance to try out open water swimming in training for a triathlon, but also already the connections with the event are proving to be a real motivator in itself.

As my work life is about supporting Healthy Ambitions, I feel it would be somewhat hypocritical not to promote physical activity and healthy life-choices in my own life…so I guess I had no excuse other than to ‘take the plunge’ and enrol for 26th September 2009. There’s no turning back now!

The Suffolk SportsAid Foundation was established to support our young athletes who have shown real potential in their sport but struggle to meet the financial costs of competing at a high level. Over the past 18 months the Suffolk SportsAid Foundation has supported 40 Suffolk athletes from across the whole county. The website www.suffolksportsaid.com for more information.
