My story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

The event:
"The "Devil o' the Highlands" is a 43 Mile footrace which begins at Tyndrum (Perthshire) and finishes in Fort William (Highlands). Each competitor has 12 hours to complete the course which follows the latter part of the "West Highland Way"." - source: http://www.devilothehighlandsfootrace.co.uk/

I am very pleased to inform you that I have managed to finish the race in 7 hours and 22 minutes (results with splits: http://www.s186600480.websitehome.co.uk/race/2009%20Race/splits%202009.pdf).

I have thoroughly enjoyed it, a part from the last 8 miles, which proved to be very hard mentally!! Just as well Joe (my support runner) ran with the last bit, so I was able to moan and groan to a human being!

Thank you Joe!! And also thank you Robert for your support!! Sorry guys for the swearing I managed to produce in the last 20 minutes of the run, I hope you didn’t take it personally...It was just exhaustion!
