I am taking part in a horse trek, as part of the Tri-Jordan Challenge, in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care. The trek will involve 5 days of horseback riding, for 5-6 hours a day, across the deserts of Jordan.
I have a minimum sponsorship target of £3000, to be raised in a variety of ways, from direct sponsorship, to fundraising events, raffles and sales of jewellery and other items. Thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far - just 1% to target! That's only £40 folks, and for every £20 we raise over target, we pay for a Marie Curie nurse to spend another hour caring for a terminally ill patient!
Apart from direct donation here on justgiving, if you are able to help with any of the above, would like any further info, would like to be kept informed of ticket sales for raffles and fundraising events, or would just like to show your support for my challenge and help spread the word, then please join my facebook group Emma's Desert Challenge, or contact me on 07708 225 360 (please leave a message if I’m out of signal at work).
Marie Curie Cancer Care is an amazing charity that provides nursing care, absolutely free, to people with terminal cancer and other illnesses, giving them the chance of dying at home, with their families. Marie Curie also runs hospices across the UK, works to support bereaved families, and funds research (no animal testing) into the treatment, causes and prevention of cancer. So please, give anything you are able. Every penny really does count!
