There is nothing like the diagnosis of a terminal illness to focus the mind  We all wait until our retirement or until there is a better time to do that thing we always wanted to do - well my time in running out - the cancer has returned and whilst it is asleep at the moment, it remains incurable. It is a difficult mountain to climb - my cancer challenges me daily - sometimes it challenges me to simply get out of bed - I wonder why me, why all this and then I re-focus when I feel I can do anything.   I call those challenging days when I struggle so badly I can barely breath my "wobbles".  I have been set a series of challenges to carry me through and to drive me forward and keep me focused - entitled breastcancermillion I must raise £1m through these challenges for Walk the Walk breast cancer charity - a huge amount but what a lovely way to finish. The first of these many challenges is an arctic cross country skiing marathon - help me to make a difference before I go.
