My story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I AM BACK SAFE AND SOUND, WE MADE IT !!!!

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR KIND DONATIONS AND SUPPORT ALONG THE WAY. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

I am planning to climb the 3 highest mountains in the UK within 24 hours, to raise funds for the Wooden Spoon Charity. Wish me luck !! .... and stop laughing ;-)

The Challenge

To climb the highest mountain in Scotland - Ben Nevis (1344m)  the highest mountain in England - Scafell Pike (978m) and then the highest mountain in Wales - Snowdon (1085m). This is all to be completed within a 24 hour continuous period.

The distance walked is around 25 miles, the height climbed is around 10, 000 feet, and the distance covered between mountains is about 450 miles via minibus.

The Charity  www.woodenspoon.com

Wooden Spoon is the Children's Charity of the rugby world. For 25 years Spoon has harnessed the spirit and values of rugby to give disadvantaged children in Britian and Ireland a chance to achieve their full potential in life.

Over this time more than 350 projects have been supported with over £15 million given in grants to national and local projects. Funds raised have enhanced the lives of more than 500 000 children, young people and their families.

You can view the most recent Wooden Spoon advert here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jFrQu20Oj2U

The Sacrafice

.....  Getting stuck into training  !!! .... Weaning off high heels... Wearing flats ??......

The Aim

To raise as much money as possible for such a great cause

Getting fitter and healthier along the way

Making it to the bottom of Snowdon with enough energy left to raise a glass of champas or three or ten and also enough plasters to get my blisters patched up and my heels straight back on!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Wooden Spoon gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thank you for your sponsorship
