Story

On Sunday 6 April I will be taking part in my first marathon in Brighton in support of Aveda’s annual earth month campaign which has raised over £630,000 for WaterAid's work in India, Nepal and Ethiopia to date.

Aveda's Earth Month initiative connects its network of hair and skin professionals and consumers in more than 30 countries around the globe seeking to raise funds for awareness and protection of clean water.

There are 2.5 billion people who do not have access to adequate sanitation; this is one in three of the world’s population.  Without safe water or sanitation, people are trapped in a cycle of poverty and disease. WaterAid works in 27 countries worldwide, transforming millions of lives every year with safe water, sanitation and hygiene projects.
