We are pleased to announce that the Endless 3 Peaks team succeeded in its mission to complete the National 3 Peaks Challenge.
In Thursday 15th July we journeyed to Wles ready for an early morning ascent of Mount Snowdon on the 16th, which we managed in 3.5 hours despite deriving wind and rain and so headed up to Scafell Pike in the Lake District. After our second mountain climb of 3.5 hours we got back in the minibus and headed up to Ben Nevis, trying to get some rest en route - with little success despite the 8 hour drive. We started the ascent of Ben Nvis at 5am and reached the summit at 8am, which was agony after the other two peaks but we made it and just had the descent ahead of us to complete the challenge.
We are extremely pleased that we completed the challenge in around 26 hours, of which we managed the climbing in 12 hours compared with a target of 14 hours, losing time on the driving phase unfortunately. Althoug this is a huge achievement for the team we are even more pleased with the support we have received from friends, families and colleagues. To date we have received £10,612, with £5,462 for the the Haiti Hospital Appeal and £5,150 going to Sport Relief.
