End to End

July 2009, whilst sitting watching ‘On Thin Ice’ (documentary following Ben Fogle, James Cracknel and Ed Coats in a South Pole Race http://www.teamqinetiq.com) I kept saying to my wife (Anthea) that I would like to do something like that.

July 2009, whilst sitting watching ‘On Thin Ice’ (documentary following Ben Fogle, James Cracknel and Ed Coats in a South Pole Race http://www.teamqinetiq.com) I kept saying to my wife (Anthea) that I would like to do something like that.

I finally got fed up of saying this and thought well I had better do something about it, so I jumped on the net and looked up how far it is to ride from Lands End to John O’Groats, around 1000 miles.

Ok so I had my challenge cycle from Lands End to John O’Groats the next thing I needed was a reason and that was the easy bit. As some of you that read this will know far too many people close to me and my family have been affected by Cancer and you only have to read the papers to know this is a fast growing disease.  With that said we hope to raise over £1000 towards Cancer Research UK.

So I have the challenge and the cause only thing left is a mate, a quick text to Ian Phillips and to my shock he was up for it.

We will keep our website updated over the coming months as there is a lot of planning and on my part getting fit for the ride of our lives.

Neil and Ian
