This season I'm putting action behind the words I've been writing and speaking for the past several months. To be precise, I'm training for and running Geneva's favorite and most well-known footrace - the Escalade - in order to raise funds and awareness for the one billion people (that's one in six of us human beings) on Earth who do not have access to clean drinking water.Charity: water is the nonprofit organization which will receive and utilize all the JustGiving funds I raise. Charity: water partners with at least ten reputable organizations (such as Living Water International, A Glimmer of Hope, and Action Against Hunger) who have had a longstanding presence in their target countries, and who are best equipped to engage their communities in the project of well-construction. One hundred percent (100%) of all money raised goes directly to fund materials and labor costs of the project, with organizational administrative costs being covered purely by private donors.
To date, charity: water has provided life-changing access to fresh, clean water in more than 1,400 communities in developing countries, impacting the lives of nearly one million people.
