12/9/11 There are a lot of aching people in the office this morning! We all completed the run yesterday despite the wind doing its best to hold us back over the last 3k... 10k seemed to last forever - the course veering off round a park just as you thought you were on the home straight! We found out afterwards that the course was actually longer than advertised - expand all managed to run 11.4k! We are all very proud of ourselves, and may have caught the running bug - a few of the team are planning their next run already! Thank you to everyone who sponsored us - we will do a tot up of monies raised outside of Just Giving and post the final total at the end of the week. 7/9/11 Thanks to Richard Edwards for his fundraising efforts recently! He has raised £113.75 which has enabled us to reach our target of £500 :)  Samantha Maxwell-Reed, Director of expand, has pledged to match our target of £500  - all we have to do now is run!    Commitment is one of expand executive search's values, and a bold statement. This largely manifests itself in our focus and energy when working for clients and candidates, to get a job well done. However we also have a commitment to our local community and historically have undertaken a number of fundraising activities on an ad hoc basis – the London to Brighton bike ride, 10k runs and often cake eating..! We have now decided to commit to one charity and hopefully our energy will make a difference in a positive way.   A number of us here at expand have kids, and just recently we learnt about an exceptional local children’s charity 'Chestnut Tree House' which pricked our conscience.
