Story

Whilst I have been fortunate enough in my life to date to not be touched by the effects of cancer, I feel that Macmillan offer valuable support for those who have been. If I have the chance to raise some money for that great cause while playing a game I love and taking on a challenge then why wouldn't I jump at the chance to organize a team?

The challenge is detailed on the www.macmillan.org.uk/longestday website but to sum it up we will be using the longest day of sunlight in the year to play four complete rounds of golf. Many of you who do not play golf, will probably over look that as not much of a challenge, so consider these that four rounds of golf will approximately equal...

20 Miles walked

16 Hours on the course

400-500 Shots played each (if we are lucky! ha ha)

So come on guys dig deep and support the team in this challenge to help this amazing cause. On behalf of the team Thank You!

Update: - We now have the course and date booked. We will be playing the 4 rounds at Stonebridge Golf Course (http://www.stonebridgegolf.co.uk/) on Friday 21st June 2013. A huge thank you to Stonebridge and the ProShop staff for agreeing to the use of the course and furthermore offering to waver the fees so we can use the course for free!
