Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Starting on the 22nd May 2015, members of Fakenham Fire Station will be cycling around Norfolk visiting all 42 Norfolk Fire & Rescue Service fire stations.  This will take 4 days and is approximately a 400 mile cycle ride.  In order to maintain operational cover within Fakenham Town and surrounding areas, some members of the crew will not be riding the full distance on the road.  They will however cover the equivalent mileage on static bikes in locations around Fakenham Town.  We are hoping to raise substantial funds for The Fire Fighters Charity and wish to invite you to support this great cause with us.

The Fire Fighters Charity provides support to injured serving and retired fire fighters, support staff and their families, through 3 dedicated centres offering a range of support programmes including physical rehabilitation and recuperations.

The crew at Fakenham would like you to support them in completing this epic event.  As a busy market town the crew regularly respond to support their community and the wider community of Norfolk.  Last year a fire occurred in a significant heritage building in the town.  The response from businesses, our neighbours, friends and family was immense and we thank you sincerely.  This challenge finishes a year on from that tragic day it would be great to see you all at the finish line.

There will be a number of events leading up to the cycle ride to raise money and promote the challenge.  The first event to be confirmed will be an Open Day at Fakenham Fire Station to be held on 3rd May 2015.

Details of further events will be provided in due course.

Any support that you can give us will be much appreciated.
