My story

Back to earth with the gentlest of landings.  Easy peasy, like falling off a log, albeit a log that's really really high up and travelling at distictly inorganic velocity.

Anyway, just because the whole "I'm not stepping out of a perfectly good plane attached to nothing but a slightly unhinged Irishman unless y'all cough up loads of wedge" is now technically complete doesn't mean further messages of a financial nature aren't welcome.

Backplot below...

I only have myself to blame.  We did this stuff at MEC about how we all needed to behave bravely so some bright spark hit on a "face your fears" notion and before you know it i'm signed up to the 12,000 foot "one small step for a man, one giant lurch for breakfast" thang on 22nd August.

Anyway I'll be raising money for the rather excellent Five Talents, who fight poverty in the developing world by creating jobs.  Savings schemes, small loans and business training empower the active poor to start and then build a small business.  The money they earn helps pay for all the things we take for granted: food; a home; clothing; healthcare; education.

I'm a trustee of Five Talents and have seen the work in action (see my video of Five Talents' work in Peru on this page and others at www.fivetalents.org.uk/page-videos.html) so can vouch for the reality of the transformational effect of the work.

MEC will match the first £500 I raise, so book early to see Tom George open his wallet. Photographic evidence of this momentous occasion (Tom opening his wallet, not the skydive) will be provided.

Hitting my £2.5k target makes it 21p a foot all the way down.  I promise I'll count each and every one.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Five Talents UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!

Thanks
