Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor the Team: The Mission To Seafarers gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Falmouth’s strong maritime links have prompted 5 members of the Cluster Support Team, made up of personnel from RFA Support and A&P Falmouth who manage RFA Vessels, Argus, Mounts Bay, Cardigan Bay, Largs Bay and Lyme Bay, to take up the challenge of a sponsored bike ride in support of The Mission to Seafarers.  Full details can be found at www.tourpourlamer.com.

Kevin Murray (RFA), Gerald Pitts (A&P), Jamie Johnson (A&P), Mark Philpott (RFA) and Chris Gunn (A&P) will be cycling from Antwerp to Rotterdam to Amsterdam and back to Rotterdam.  This is a distance of 150 miles, to be undertaken over 2 days on 25 and 26 September 2009.

The team will be collectively known as Falmouth Afloat Support Team (F.A.S.T.).

The team decided to support The Mission to Seafarers when their office was moved next to The Flying Angel Cabin (the Mission to Seafarers' Falmouth Centre).  Seeing the work that goes on there inspired the team to undertake the Race.

The hope is that £5,000 can be raised through this Page and in addition to this the team will be looking to raise a minimum of £500 in sponsorship to cover travelling costs, with further sponsorship required to cover cycling accessories. If you would like to see your logo on the Team's cycling kit please call Mrs Penny Phillips on 01326 214815 or email your interest to penny.phillips@ap-falmouth.co.uk .  Penny is the Team's Coordinator.  The Team can also be contacted directly through their email addresses here at Falmouth (ie)

Seafarers are important to us all, they bring us over 90% of our daily needs and in return face loneliness, danger and isolation.  Help us help The Mission to Seafarers continue with their work of caring for seafarers all over the world.

Many thanks in anticipation of your support and generosity.
