17 April - I DID IT!

It took me 4 hours and 18 minutes.

My legs and feet hurt a lot towards the end but overall it was a great day. The crowd support was fantastic. Mandy and my Mum and Dad, Caven and Kath, Emily and Lauren were there cheering me on. I saw Mandy, Mum and Dad at three pre-arranged points in the race and that helped a lot. There was a great camaraderie amongst the runners too, everyone egging each other on. Another big incentive was all the pledges of support for my charity that I received from friends, family and work colleagues. Thank you to you all for your kindness and generosity. I've had a rough add up and estimate the grand total will be around the £2,500 mark - well above my target amount. Thanks again. Best Regards Chris
