A 5k run, named 'The Figsbury Challenge Twenty10 'is being run by the Parents & Teachers Association of the
Winterbourne Earls Primary School, Salisbury. The run starts at WInterbourne Earls Primary School, which is mostly cross country, up and around the Figsbury Rings.

The route covers tarmac, grass & track, with a demanding gradient for a distance of 1.5 kilometres, which will test the stamina of most seasoned runners.

The route will be marshalled thoughout, with regular water stops. St Johns Ambulance will also be present.

This event is now in it's fifth year which has contributed to raising several thousands of pounds for the Salisbury Hospice www.salisburyhospicecare.co.uk and the Winterbourne Earls Primary School www.winterbourneearls.org

The event continues to grow year on year and is attracting attention from outside the local community & County  Running Clubs.

The event is open to all ages and abilities, unfortunately the course is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs.

All participants will be required to raise a minimum of £25 sponsorship.

Adults (16+) £7
On the day (Adult payment) £8

Salisbury Hospice:

The Salisbury Hospice provides Specialist Palliative Care Services in the Salisbury, Wiltshire area - including Amesbury, Tidworth, Mere, Tisbury, Fordingbridge, Wilton and Whiteparish. People who benefit from the Hospice are those faced with a life threatening illness for which there is no medical cure. The majority of patients have cancer.
'Putting life into days, not days into life'

The Hospice Unit is situated on the southern boundary of Salisbury District Hospital in a modern, purpose built facility. The Hospice provides care and support each day for 10 in-patients & over 180 patients in their homes or hospital, as well as support for their families and friends.
The Salisbury Hospicecare Trust is committed to raising over £1,000,000 annually to maintain
and develop the services based at Salisbury Hospice
