The Mouth Cancer Foundation raises awareness of mouth, throat and other head & neck cancers as well as provides support to patients, carers and health professionals. Its website has patient experiences, provides links to relevant sections of other sites, and has a unique online support group of over 1,200 members.

My personal message:

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

I chose this charity because our friend Alan (a non smoker) recently died shockingly young, at the age of 30, of a cancer none of us knew anything about.  Alan was an exceptionally generous and gentle person, passionate about plants and wildlife.  He was the Essex WildlifeTrust volunteer warden of Grays Chalk Quarry for many years.

Donating online is fast and secure and if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

This is my way of increasing awareness of mouth cancer.  Alan had no idea of the seriousness of his initial symptoms.
