My story

Hi Everyone,

The 14th Annual Peak to Peak Pedal (P2P14) will take me from the mountain peaks of the San Bernardino mountains in California, through the Owens valley to the peaks of the Sierras, finishing at Mammoth Mountain.

Beginning Wednesday, October 8th 2008, over five days and approximately 335 miles!

Now you may all be thinking I'm over the hill, and you may be right My knees are certainly telling me I am! However, I feel this is the last chance my body will allow me to do anything like this. (I just hope it they keep me going to the end this time!)

The money I raise is to offset the subsidies for the activity weeks for the 2009 season. I am determined that we keep the activity week costs as low as possible and if that means 5 days of torture - so be it!!

A small amount of the money raised will be going to the US adaptive programme in Big Bear as they are the ones organising the event and I will be covering my own costs.

I hope you will support me in this challenge and I'll see you all in my mono ski in the new year!
