I am the Operations Manager of Fable Charity who help those who are affected by Epilepsy through a variety of ways.
I have decided along with a group of family, friends and loyal supporters of the charity to do a little bit of fundraising in my own time to raise funds for the charity which will help them continue to be of service to Epilepsy patients, carers and family members predominantly from the Yorkshire area but also all over the UK.
The charity offers support through a freephone advice line, on-line one to one support through our website, and at a drop in advice and information centre in Sheffield.
One of the charity's new projects is to grant wishes and dreams for those who suffer from the condition whether it is to meet a certain celebrity or whether it is to visit somewhere they have always dreamt about.
As part of the charity's Go That Extra Mile campaign which is to get people to cover a mile in some way and donate a pound, I have decided to do 'The Five Weirs Walk' in Sheffield, which is 8 Kilometers in total which is approximately 5 miles.
The walk will take place as soon as the target has been reached, so if you would like to take part and help us reach the target and hopefully generate more funds for this worthwhile cause please contact me at sarah-fable@btconnect.com for a sponsorship form.
