Food For Thought - Food Challenges for Charity · 7 May 2013

Action Against Hunger is a global humanitarian organisation that takes decisive action against the causes and effects of hunger. We save the lives of malnourished children. We ensure everyone can access clean water, food, training and healthcare. We enable entire communities to be free from hunger.

Story

Please remember to check the GiftAid box otherwise JustGiving receives 5% of your donation!

We are four girls who hope to raise some money for Action Against Hunger, an international charity focused on bringing an end to human hunger - in the UK and beyond.

On Monday 28th May 2013, we will be taking part in 8 food-related challenges (as we are raising money for a hunger charity). These challenges are:

The Cinnamon Challenge (swallow a spoonful of cinnamon powder)

The Chubby Bunny Challenge (fit as many marshmallows in your mouth as you can)

The Cracker Challenge (eat as many crackers as you can in 1 min)

The Chicken Nugget Challenge (eat as many chicken nuggets as you can in 20 mins)

The Gummy Bear Challenge (eat as many gummy bears as you can in 1 min)

The Baby Food Challenge (a full three-course meal of baby food)

The Hot Chilli Pepper Challenge (swallow a bite of a spicy chilli pepper)

The Death by Sandwich Challenge (for an extra 50p donation, add any edible ingredient into a sandwich for each of us which we have to then take a bite and swallow)

Finally we will be doing a butt-squat challenge to work off those extra calories - and just for the fun of it.

We will be uploading video evidence of our trials and tribulations, so please do donate whatever you can and help us raise money for Action Against Hunger! It really is a worthwhile cause: it is truly unbelievable that in 2013, around 1/3 of the world population still suffer from malnourishment.

So please encourage and support us by donating - little or large, every penny counts towards feeding children and adults alike. And you get to watch the four of us look silly eating all sorts of food in the weirdest of challenges!

Thank you!
