Iceland raised over £500,000 for Alder Hey last year which was a FANTASTIC achievement by all those who were involved.  We want to beat that amazing target this year!!!  In hope of achieving this myself and Steve Ford are attempting a 10,000ft tandem skydive on the 22nd August 2009!!!

 

Why are we supporting Alder Hey again this year ?

 

Alder Hey Children's Hospital is the largest in Europe, caring for more children than any other hospital in the UK.  Ever since they were founded in 1914, they have led the way in the care of sick children and the trust now treats more than 200,000 patients every year.  IMAGINE is the name of Alder Hey's Appeal, a fundraising campaign that helps them to continue their pioneering work to develop facilities and to offer the very highest standards of care to their young patients.

 

Every donation they recieve enables them to achieve that little bit more, from researching medical conditions to buying vital equipment, to building a better environment and providing facilities for families.  Imagine helps to do as much as they can to improve the quality of life for children in hospital, not only here but throughout the world.
