Our personal message:

This November I will be donning the Lycra (hot) and cycling 411kms through the "hills" of west Kenya. That's 5-days of 8-10hrs a day pedalling...in Lycra! Why? It's for the International Childcare Trust - a small charity doing brilliant work to help some of the most vulnerable and extremely poor children in Kenya, Tanzania, India, Sri Lanka and Cambodia.

I'm gunning for the ambitious target of £5,000 which is no small feat so I'm offering special one-off incentives for those of you who donate BIG. If you sponsor me:

£500 - I'll ride one day in a Lycra outfit of your choice (think Wonder Woman, Blades of Glory, Borat, something of your own creation, etc)

£1,000 - Both Charney (my partner in crime) and I will ride one day wearing complementary Lycra ensembles (think... http://www.bladesofglorymovie.com/ )

£1,500 - I will ride each of the 5 days in different Lycra outfits of your choice

£2,500 - I'll ride one day in any costume of your choice (think...gorilla suit, pink panther, a biker from the blue oyster bar, the tinman, etc)

£5,000 - Charney and I will ride one day wearing nothing but our helmets and sunscreen (subject to agreement by the charity!)

Syndicates are OK...so if a few of you want to pool together and chip in to embarrass me as I pass a Masai Mara village I won't hold it against you...forever. All of which will be faithfully documented by "on tour" photographer, Charney Magri (check http://charneymagri.com) in B&W, in colour and signed in triplicate with my blood should you so require proof of authenticity.

If you can't make it to Kenya to see the action, then you're more than welcome to meet me for a training ride along the Embankment at 7:30am any morning...or just wave from the roadside and throw me the odd sports drink, scotch egg or bacon sarnie.

I would deeply appreciate if you can take the few minutes out of your busy schedules to sponsor me now.

Thank you so much. Expect to hear more from me as the outfits get announced!

Francis J
