I have committed to take a charity trek in Peru, trekking for 5 days at altitude to raise money for the Alzheimers Society.
My Mum, Maria Crowder was diagnosed with the disease at the age of 62, over 10 years ago. It is a progressive and fatal brain disease and whilst there is there is a limited treatment, there is no cure.
I have seen my Mum go from the most dynamic and talented person to one that requires total care for the most basic of personal and everyday tasks.
Therefore I am very committed to raising funds and awareness for this most worthwhile charity and would appreciate any sponsorship you can give.

Usually on treks such as these around £1300 of the sponsorship money is used to fund the trip. However I have pledged to contribute that amount myself so you can be sure that every penny of your sponsorship will go to the charity.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Alzheimer's Society will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
