Once again, Ash and I have decided to complete The Great Manchester 10K Run (taking place 17th May 2009), to raise money for charity and to challenge our previous time of 1hour and 2 minutes! Ash was kind enough to escourt me last year- I'm not sure he is willing to do that again, considering my time ranked higher than him last year-Sorry Ash! Anyway I'm aiming for under the hour this year- God willing!!!!! I'm sure Ash will be much quicker than that!
Our chosen charity is the Miriam Charitable Trust, which was set up in honour of Miriam Eaton, by her family and friends. Miriam died of lung cancer aged just 26 years old. There are a shocking number of young individuals suffering from cancer.... Miriam Charitable trust targets 18-35 year olds dealing with cancer, providing financial support for a variety of practical needs. These are needs you wouldn't necessarily recognise yourself unless you'd experienced it or know someone that has.
So please.... do donate as much as possible- We promise we will run our backside's off! And may even throw in a fancy dress costume. (TBC)
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Miriam Charitable Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor us now!
