Thanks for taking the time to visit Ben’s JustGiving page.

Ben and Laura Freeth and Laura’s parents, Mike and Angela Campbell have suffered terribly at the hands of the invaders, particularly over the last 12 months.  They have been constantly harassed and to this day this harassment continues.   Their farm has been completely occupied, all crops stolen and now both the Freeth’s and the Campbell’s houses have been burnt down.  The whole process has cost them a fortune and we are very keen to raise as much money as we can to assist them, but not only for them. Ben and Laura do a substantial amount of work within the local community – whether it be with farm orphans, the old people’s home or with dispossessed farmers and farm workers. They also run a linen embroidering group which employs many of their former farmworkers wives and thus inadvertently maintains many of their previous employees and their families.

Ben has for some years been assisting other farmers and farm workers locally who have been badly harassed through this period of upheaval.  Most of those farmers have now been forced off their farms and many of them are in dire financial straits.  Add to this the fact that there are now many unemployed workers and their families wandering around trying to survive and you begin to get a picture of the appalling situation in the Chegutu farming district.  Ben and Laura help in whatever way they can.

They need your help.  The situation is worsening day by day and the world seems to be unable to do anything about it.  Without your help these people have no one to turn to.

ZAWT can ensure that all funds raised reach the Freeth fund without ever crossing the palms of corrupt officials; there are no middle men and there is no waste.  Thank you for reading this, and please help us to help them.
