Froude Hofmann are proud to once again to have been part of the annual Worcester Race the Dragon regatta, on 22nd June 2008.

Dragon Boat racing is unsurprisingly a race against dragons. Not quite as large as the mythical beasts but possibly louder. 17 crew members per boat race down the river Severn in an attempt to be the best of over 20 other teams.

We would also like to thank Marie's Art for the use of the previous image of the Dragon Boat.

The Race is Run

We would like to thank everyone who has sponsored us or contributed in other ways.

Race Day Result:

Froude fighters paddled their hearts out and magic'd two 'win from behinds', with all four times in the 1:30's

The First three times being good enough to the propel us into the Minor cup final.

The Minor final was probably the closest race of the day with only 0.35 seconds seperating all three teams (just over 1/2 a second). Froude came in third, making us 6th over all (1st to 3rd being in the Major cup final). Again Froude were gaining from behind so a longer race would have seen us win, thats our story and were sticking to it!.

Thank you to all those that joined to cheer us and the other teams on.

The main winners on the day were of course Noah's Ark Trust on their 10th Anniversary Year, with our TARGET of £1000 raised by Froude alone.
