We stand for everyone affected by dementia to find a cure

Story

Dementia effects not only the people with the disease, but the people closest to them. It’s important to raise awareness of the cruelness of the illness. One that destroys reality and perspective for those suffering and the relationships they once had with their loved ones.

Dementia is caused by complex brain diseases and by donating, you are supporting the most pioneering science to discover what causes nerve cells to die and why.

The discoveries that are made are put to work to benefit people with dementia. Through big initiatives like Drug Discovery Alliance, Dementia Consortium, Global Clinical Trials Fund and Prevention Fund, Alzheimer’s Research UK are translating findings into new treatments and preventions that can change lives for the better.

The link below shows an animation laying out the progress research is making to defeat dementia, and the challenge that lies ahead.
