Story

My friend's Mum sadly passed away last June at St Columba's Hospice in Edinburgh. Her illness was sudden and awful, she only spent 7 days in the hospice but the care she got there was truly amazing. I know my friend was completely humbled by the care and attention not only her Mum got from the staff at the hospice but also the care they gave her when visiting. I know it's made a very difficult situation a little more tolerable.

I hope none of us have to suffer the loss of a loved one like this but if we do I now know there is amazing care available. The Hospice survives on donations and it's not until you need to use it that you are humbled by what they provide, free of charge!

So to repay the karma my friend and I want to raise as much money as we can for the hospice. Next March I am taking part in a 100km Trek from Rovaniemi in Finland over 3 days to the Arctic Circle, pulling my Pulk behind me and camping at night in temperatures which can get as low as -40!

The trip is self funded, it's very important for me to be clear about that. NONE of the money raised will be used to pay for me doing the trip.

So please, anything you can spare will be hugely appreciated and will help others going through a painful time .

Thankyou
Fiona x
