Story
2015 what a year...
I visited my doctors, as I kept putting on lots of weight and had constant pain in my neck. My doctor took one look at me and sent me for an ultrasound. I had a 4cm by 5cm nodule on my right thyroid.
I then had more tests Fine needle biopsy and a core biopsy which both came back inconclusive. My specialist then told me I had a 2 in 5 chance this was cancer.
On July 31st 2015, I had the nodule removed off my right thyroid. I was one of the lucky ones the nodule wasn't cancerous.
I am now on a high dose of thyroxine and will be for the rest of my life. I see my endrocronolgist every 6-8 weeks. I have a small nodule on my left tyrhoid which is monitored.
