Fundraising for Change Mental Health
Story
My name is Marius and in my day job I work for a financial company in Edinburgh. Outside of work I hold the role of Charity Ambassador for Support in Mind Scotland (SiMS). Support in Mind Scotland seek to support and empower all those affected by mental illness, including family members, carers and supporters and, as someone who was diagnosed with PTSD, I am keen to show how exercise can help and raise money for a worthy cause.
So, what am I doing to warrant any of your pennies
On the 12th of August I will be competing in my first sprint triathlon. The race will use the same course as the European Championships in Glasgow and will include a 750m open water swim, 18km bike ride and a 5km run in Strathclyde Park. To be honest, the swim is probably the bit that scares me the most. My confidence is way low for this leg of the race.
