Most of you know that I live and work in an amazing part of the world. The beautiful Yorkshire countryside offers stunning views which attracts visitors from across the globe. When things go wrong on our roads or in hard to reach rural areas however, we rely on charities such as the Yorkshire Air Ambulance to reach patients in places land ambulances would either not be able to get to or take much longer due to the terrain. 

The Yorkshire Air Ambulance gets patients to trauma centres much quicker and therefore gives them the very best chance of survival and a full recovery. I have seen first hand the great work the YAA does in saving lives and still find it incredible that they rely solely on charitable donations to keep going. 

As a charity, it costs £12,000 a day to keep the 2 aircraft in the air and if I can do my bit to help raise some much needed funds for this amazing charity then I feel I have done my bit (You never know when you might need them).

Therefore I am taking part in this years Virgin London Marathon and will do my best to run/walk/crawl through the 26.2 miles whilst taking in the awesome atmosphere & sights of our capital city.
