Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have decided to run the Reading and Bournemouth half marathons this year in memory of my dear Uncle Robert. I spent most of my childhood and young adult life out at White House  Farm, and anyone who knows me will know all about Uncle Robert and the mischief we used to get up to. Every school project, presentation and summer holiday report would be filled with stories and information about what I did with Uncle Robert the holiday just passed. He never spoiled me with money, but he did spoil me with his time. One summer holiday mum was worried that I couldn't add up and divide simple maths, school had told her I was falling behind. Uncle Robert stepped in and within 2 weeks I could add, subtract and multiply. All he did was apply it to something I loved. THE FARM!

What can you do for someone that gave you so much yet asked for nothing in return? Well.....I guess my time. So In his memory I have put my time into running and raising money for the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution. This wonderful Charity helps support farming family's when in need and gets them through the difficult times. More information can be found on their website www.rabi.org.uk

Thank you for everything Uncle Robert. This is for you.
