I have worked in the Fire Service for 23 years and in Aug 2015 I was a victim of a serious traumatic incident, I sustained both physical and psychological injuries however through the help of the Fire Fighters Charity I was able to return to some form of normality.

In all the years in working for the Fire Service this was the first time I used the Firefighters Charity and I can honestly say it was instrumental in helping my recovery. With all the help and support I was given I would like to give something back and hope to achieve my target.

On 10th September 2016 at Winchester Town Centre  I will be using a rowing machine to complete 2 Half Marathons of 21097 metres each wearing fire kit and Breathing Apparatus.
