Every year, one in four of us will experience a mental health problem and hundreds of thousands of people are still struggling.

Twenty per cent of adolescents may experience a mental health problem in any given year. Fifty per cent of mental health problems are established by age 14 and 75% by age 24. Ten per cent of children and young people (aged 5-16 years) have a clinically diagnosable mental problem, yet 70% of children and adolescents who experience mental health problems have not had appropriate interventions at a sufficiently early age.

Saint Cecilia's pupils, Sixth Formers and staff have organised a 5K run on Friday 3rd February at Wimbledon Park. The purpose of this event is to raise awareness of this very serious issue and to help raise money for MIND.

MIND is an outstanding charity. It provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. People who experience these problems can often face a range of discrimination. MIND campaigns to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.
