Following Ellie's liver transplant as a baby she has competed every year at the British Transplant games for Leeds Children Transplant team. the team representing Leeds GI where she had her transplant. she has competed in different events winning medals at every games.

At the age of 5 she took up swimming but was unable to compete in the games at swimming until 9 years old. Straight away she started winning medals in this event. This year she competed in 3 races and won gold in each race. Her achievements drew the attention of the Team GB & NI selectors and she has been selected to represent Great Britain & NI at the World Transplant Games in Malaga, Spain in June 2017.

Unfortunately this is a self funding event with the athlete having to raise all their own costs for travel, accommodation, food and event registration fees. A rough estimate of an individuals cost is around £1500 (not including training and team meet costs in build up to the games) so £3000 is needed minimum for Ellie and a parent (£4500 for us as a family) to go.

Ellie is desperate to go and obviously as are we for her to go. With her condition we have to take every opportunity as you don't know what is around the corner plus she may not get the chance again to represent her country.

We are raising funds to cover Ellie Greenwoods expenses associated with attending the World Transplant games in Malaga, Spain.
