Bring Callander Cricket Club Home

In 1875 cricket made its appearance in Callander and for almost 50 years was a big part of the local community. At its peak the town had 4 teams but sadly around the 1930s the original club folded and cricket disappeared for almost 80 years until in 2013 a few eager cricketing residents resurrected the Club.

Since reforming in 2013 the club has had very much a nomadic existence playing its games and carrying out outdoor training through groundshare agreements, playing all its 'Home' fixtures in Bannockburn, Gargunnock and Stirling. Despite its' nomadic form the club has gone from strength to strength with a membership of 60+ across all ages. Callander CC has a Senior 1st XI, Development XI, Junior teams across all ages and a newly formed Female Section, as well as coaching the McLaren High School team and in Callander Primary School.

The club has identified a plot of land ideal for a home ground and training facilities and would like to purchase this land to develop into a home for the club but also as additional facilities that the whole community could access and use.

It's time to bring the club back home and once again become an integral part of the community that everyone in the town can be proud of, with somewhere for all our teams to play home games and train without having to travel far and wide in order to do so, provide our Schools with state of the art facilities for their use and free access for the whole community.

Callander CC needs somewhere to call home so it can continue to grow, improve its already strong school links and provide local, easy accessible facilities for everyone.
