I have set myself the gruelling challenge of running the Windsor Half Marathon on Sunday 29th September 2019.

As many of you know my Dad (John), was diagnosed with bowel cancer in May 2018, which had also spread to his liver.

As a very close family we were all left devastated and totally heart-broken by this distressing news.

Over the last year my dad has been super strong and has undergone two rounds of chemotherapy and a major operation to remove the cancer from his bowel. I could not be prouder of my Dad’s strength throughout this process.

However a couple of weeks ago we got the heart-breaking news that the second round of chemotherapy had not been successful in reducing the secondary bowel cancer on the liver, and therefore he is unable to undergo the operation to remove this due to its size.  My Dad is now set to have a third round of highly intensive chemotherapy (with a lot of side-effects) to try and shrink the cancer again.

Your sponsorship will not only help inspire me with the gruelling 13.1 mile up-hill run. (One of the most challenging half marathons in the country), but your sponsorship will also encourage my dad to continue his fight to beat cancer.
