Story
With breast cancer affecting 1 in 8 women and 350 men a year, and with over a quarter of cases are preventable, EGHC is getting ready to support Breast Cancer Awareness month this October.
After the great success of EG's #PlayinPink Campaign last
year, with the Ladies 1st team raising £1,570 for BreastCancerNow, this October we are aiming to make #PlayinPink a clubwide effort and raise as much money & awareness as we can for this vital cause. 'Play in Pink' comes from BreastCancerNow's signature event 'Wear it Pink' always on the 23rd October.
This year with a club-wide campaign, we have chosen to support BreastCancerNow who do vital care and support for those going through treatment. The last 18 months has proved terribly challenging for all charities. That’s why it’s even more important that we all do what we can to support.
We will spread the word via the Instagram, Facebook and Twitter channels with #PlayinPink - inviting the clubs we play to join in some way, whether it is wearing pink shoe-laces or wearing pink bows in your hair everyone can join in.
Let’s join together for breast cancer!
