Both in aid of the Brain Tumor Research Charity.
Those of you who know me know my Dad has been through a very tough time and i'd like to raise as much as possible in this short time to help with Brain Tumour Research.
My Dad had a Brain Tumor many years ago when I was young. He had radiotherapy and the Tumor behaved for over 20 years.
2 years ago something changed on an annual scan. We went to the Hospital of Neurology and Neuroscience for a biopsy which was supposed by an overnight stay. The surgeon caused a bleed on the brain and caused my dad to have a stroke (there was a 1% chance of this happening). He had to go through therapy to get the feeling back in his left side again and was at the hospital almost 2 weeks. He's done so well since and is the stongest most brave person I know.
On the day we were leaving he was then given the results of the biopsy and told the tumour had changed from benign to cancerous stage 3. Chemotherapy then started for a planned 6 cycles. My dad got through 5 cycles of chemo then really wasn't well. He has sepsis and was rushed to A&E where he spent 10 days recovering (on his birthday).
He's now having brain scans every 3 months and results on 17th May 2019 for the lastest scan.
If we can help research, we can help save lives and have a better rate of recovery and stop this nasty cancer and tumours sooner.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and thank you so much for your donations. Its means the world to me and my family.
