Story
On January 17th, Heather discovered a small lump and went straight to her local GP to get it checked out. Just one week later, Heather was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and required immediate surgery followed by an intense course of Chemotherapy and upcoming Radiotherapy.
When Heather found out she had Breast Cancer, she was devastated and felt like her world had fallen apart. She thought the worst and couldn't believe how one day life can be so wonderful and the next it can all change! The worst part was, Heather had no symptoms and felt absolutely fine which was why it came at such a shock to herself and her family.
Heather is coping well and has been exceptionally brave and positive. Heather is overwhelmed by the amazing support and kindness which she has received from her family and friends, this has played a key part in Heather getting through this 'blip' in her life. Macmillan have been there every step of the way, they work very hard and have expertise knowledge. The Macmillan staff even trekked through miles of snow to make sure they were in the hospital for their patients!
The upcoming event is our way of saying thank you to Macmillan for their fantastic support and encouragement throughout, not only has Macmillan touched our hearts but many of you also, therefore please join us on the 15th September to show your support for such a wonderful cause.
