We support people with dementia in Scotland to make sure nobody faces dementia alone

Story

Stewart Black was Alzheimer Scotland Lanarkshire's very own superhero. After receiving a diagnosis of early onset dementia at just 51 years old, Stewart threw himself into raising awareness, reducing the stigma and showing people that it is possible to live well with a diagnosis of dementia and how not to let this define you.

As well as challenging peoples perception of dementia, Stewart constantly challenged himself and had quite a lengthy bucket list and completed quite a few things from it, one thing he dreamed of doing and never managed to because of health restrictions was Velocity - Europe's fastest and longest zipslide.

Stewart sadly passed away in January 2018 at just 58 years old, Therefor Stewarts wife, family & friends aka The Forget Me Not Zippers (all 18 of them) have decided to do this in his memory on 28th July 2018 to raise vital funds for Alzheimer Scotland.

Every penny we raise will go towards supporting those affected by dementia in Scotland. Almost everyone has been, will be, or knows someone who has been affected by dementia, currently there are over 90,000 people living in Scotland with a diagnosis - please help us make sure nobody faces dementia alone in loving memory of Stewart.
