Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I'm running the Great North Run on Sept 10th 2017 and will be raising as much money as possible for the Eden Valley Hospice based in Carlisle. Most of you will be aware that treating cancer patients with radiotherapy is my job, and it's a job I love! I've had the privilege of meeting some inspiring people as part of their cancer journey; many of whom go on and live for many years after cancer, and I've also cared for some who sadly haven't been so lucky. Some of these patients have spent time at the Eden Valley hospice, where the focus is about maintaining quality of life, and doing this with dignity. They provide expert care for both patients and their families, in a relaxed and peaceful setting, and do a wonderful job. 

This year I run in memory of two particular patients I had the pleasure of caring for and who were inspirational to meet. To Jim and Graham...this one's for you.
