We support people to help rebuild lives after stroke.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. We are going to complete the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge on 31.08.2017 as our colleague Paul Jefferson who is a Police Officer based within the East Hull Community Policing team covering the Southcoates Wards in this area from the Preston Road Police Station, sadly suffered a stroke whilst in a meeting at work this year and this led to a secondary stroke whilst in hospital. He has been off work since, however, he is doing very well in rehabilitation.

Every year thousands of people are left with devastating disabilities after a stroke. In the UK, someone has a stroke every three and a half minutes. This adds up to 152,000 strokes every year, 25% of strokes happen to those under the age of 65. There are people who are participating in the walk who this has affected in their own
personal lives.

We aim to raise £2,500.00 for the Stroke Association by completing the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge on 31st August 2017. The Yorkshire Three Peaks route is 24-miles long, and includes 5,200ft (1,585m) of ascent.
