Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am raising money for the Richard Desmond Children's Unit  at Moorfields Eye Hospital it's called Sidneys Gift

Sidney James Turner is my 8 year old grandson who suffers Nan's Hiram Syndrome which causes severe cataracts and blindness he has had nearly 25 operations and now has  very  poor eyesight.

I am 70 years old and suffer Post Polio Syndrome I am in a wheelchair most of the time I also have a heart condition. On Sunday 26th August 2018 I am going to swim from the world war 2 Mulberry Harbour stranded about a mile of Pagham Beach  Bognor Regis

I did this Swim last year from the beach outside Pagham Yacht Club to the Harbour this time I will be dropped from the Yacht Club safety boat the other side of the Harbour and try to swim to the Beach in front of the Yacht  Club.

I am swimming mainly using arms only as I cannot kick with my legs.

I have not set any target to reach children who have impaired or no vision need as much help as we can  give them they and I will appreciate as much as you can give.

About the charity
