Ahhhhh!! So I'm doing the National 3 Peaks challenge, those lovely menacing 3 mountains in 24 hours... yes 24 hours... alone!!! I cannot lie to say that I'm not anxious and this is really taking me out of my comfort zone. I am doing this to stand side by side with all those lovely individuals who have fought cancer or battling with cancer. You are not alone!!! 

I am raising money for our local hospital to help them in supporting you and your loved ones, past and present. 

“One in two of us will be touched by cancer; a family member, a friend or someone at work. We all know people who have been affected in this way.

The Cancer Appeal will help fund improvements in cancer services at a new cancer centre at Dorset County Hospital. This is a partnership project between Poole Hospital and Dorset County Hospital, bringing radiotherapy services to Dorchester for the first time.

As part of this project, Dorset County Hospital Charity is raising £1.75 million to build a new cancer outpatients department. This will result in bespoke spaces that will transform the experience of local cancer patients coming to DCH by enabling counselling and support services to be offered in rooms right next to the outpatient areas. The chemotherapy unit will also expand, giving family members space to sit with patients receiving chemotherapy, which they are currently unable to do.
