We pray that you and your family are safe and healthy during these testing times.

Each year we build 2-3 wells and think this year should be no exception as the need for access to clean water is an ever growing challenge for the poor in many countries around the Muslim world.

We suggest donations of £20 but any amount is welcome. Please tick the box to add gift aid if you are eligible.

This year's initial target of £660 is for a large well in Pakistan. If we get lots of generous donations and exceed this target then we will aim to build additional wells in: Niger and Sri Lanka - Insha'Allah.

Since 2012 LQE have been building large Dig-a-Wells in communal places such as village centres, schools or mosques which enables us to provide access to clean water to the maximum number of people.

Dig-a-Wells can serve up to 200 people, providing access to clean water for drinking, washing and cooking, as well as keeping livestock hydrated. The wells draw water from up to 40 metres beneath the ground making them dependable during all seasons.

On the authority of Sa‘d ibn ’Ubadah (ra) who said, ’I asked, “O Messenger of Allah! Which charity is best?” He [saw] replied, “Providing water”’. (Ibn Majah)
