Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! On 23rd April 2017 I am running the London Marathon for Save the Children and my goal is to raise £1000.

Running a marathon has been something I’ve wanted to achieve since I was a young boy. When I applied earlier this year I didn’t expect to be part of the lucky 7% to secure a place through the general ballot.

I've decided to run for Save the Children because they help those who need it most. They aim to save children’s lives and aid their development, by responding to disasters, by tackling poverty and global hunger, by improving access to education and healthcare and by ensuring children are protected from any sort of danger or harm.

In 2015, 91% of Save the Childrens expenditure went to charitable activities, with the other 9% going to raising even more money. I know how many of you are probably deep in your overdrafts like me, but even a small donation can make a huge difference, just £3 could pay for life-saving treatment for 8 children who are sick with diarrhoea.

So join me on this journey as I aim to complete my 1st marathon for this wonderful charity. A journey which will involve me running over 500 miles and not drinking any alcohol for months.
